Welcome to the month of March, as we approach the Spring Equinox, and prepare to shift from Pisces to Aries. This is a month of deep soul cleansing and renewal, as we move towards the fires of Spring.
The moon is waning, and this is a week of letting go as we wind down towards the new moon in Pisces on Sunday. This is an ideal time for cleansing and releasing all you have built up from the past year, mentally, emotionally and spiritually; it is also a great time to declutter your life.
On 10 March the New Moon in Pisces occurs at 09.00 GMT:
this new moon is a point of release from the emotions of the year, letting go ready to begin afresh. New creative impulses may emerge when you allow yourself to go within. The Moon is conjunct Neptune, bringing increased channelling abilities. A sextile to Uranus brings exciting opportunities.
Mercury enters Aries on the day of the new moon – thoughts and communications become sharper and more direct. We are moving out of the “brainfog” of Piscean thinking, however, people are more likely to react impulsively and have fiery exchanges.
On 11 March Venus enters Pisces, her sign of exaltation. This is a very romantic time, as Venus the Goddess of Love dives into the Piscean ocean of limitless imagination. Be sure to make time for nurturing and self-care, and feeling the love within.
The Equinox occurs on 20 March as the Sun enters Aries. Spring Equinox in the Northern hemisphere, this is the beginning of the astrological year. The Sun enters the sign of primordial fire, and the spark of life renews itself once more. This is a powerful time to meditate, visualise, manifest and pray. With the turning of the wheel, may we all see positive changes in the world.
On the day of the Equinox, Jupiter begins to move into conjunction with Uranus. These two mighty sky gods will conjoin on 21 April. This is an extremely powerful and highly energised transit, and we will begin to feel the effects of it. It is time to open to the new: new insights, new guidance, new directions, new journeys.
On 22 March Mars enters Pisces: the planet of masculine energy dives into the ocean of Pisces, joining Venus here, where they will swim together. Mars can be out of its depth in Pisces, being a planet of will, drive and focused energy. Actions become diffused, possibly directionless and confused, unless the higher guidance is invoked.
The Full Moon Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Libra on 25 March 07.00 GMT
marks the beginning of this eclipse season. You may see the results of issues that arose on the Solar Eclipse in Libra last October. Lunar eclipses signify endings and beginnings, and bring an opportunity to cleanse and release old emotions, particularly around relationships. The energy will build until the Solar Eclipse in Aries on 8 April.
So this is a month of endings and beginnings. A time to reflect on all the past year has brought us: lessons, gifts, soul tests and initiations. May your strength be renewed for the year to come, influenced by the powerful yang energy of the Wood Dragon, as we take the baton and run with it.
