Welcome to the month of July, with its powerful energies of enlightenment and introspection. As we enter the annual Sirius gateway, we are beginning the month with Mercury in shadow phase, which can cause miscommunications leading up to the Mercury Rx from 17 July – 10 August. Neptune and Saturn will also go retrograde this month, with Pluto continuing its retrograde stint in Aquarius. This makes the overriding energies quite introspective, and retrospective. This is an ideal time to take stock of your life, how far you have come, and where your soul wants to go to really step into your greatness. The Mercury Pluto opposition at the beginning of the month will bring out the shadows, and show you what you need to heal and transform.

3 – 5 July: Venus – Uranus – Alcyone conjunction

Venus, planet of personal and higher love, is contacting Uranus the Great Awakener which transforms stuck, dense energy and breaks old patterns. This is in a once in a lifetime conjunction with the Star Alcyone in the Pleiades, a guiding star of humanity.

3 – 7 July: Sirius Gateway: Sirius, our Higher Star, begins to rise before the Sun, making its annual conjunction with our Sun on 5 July. This is a time of increased light codes, and higher frequencies pouring through our Sun, as we contact the energy of Sirius, the Great Star of Isis. This time would herald the annual flooding of the Nile in Egypt, and the New Year.

4 July: Neptune retrograde in Aries: Neptune, planet of higher energies and soul guidance, has newly entered Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. Now it goes into retrograde motion, asking you to reflect deeply on your path, and the dreams you sincerely wish to take action on.

4 July: Venus enters Gemini: relationships become more communicative, with many ideas flying around to be shared. This can be a good time to communicate with your beloved things you wish to say and share.

7 July: Uranus enters Gemini

This is a brand new phase for Uranus, the Great Awakener. Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018, bringing much change and disruption to the earth. As it enters Gemini, the realm of communication; thoughts, ideas, speaking, writing and social media will benefit from its lightning frequencies. We will see many genius ideas taking hold in the collective.

On 7 July Uranus moves into exact conjunction with Alcyone at 0* Gemini, which is active throughout the month of July, and again in November. This conjunction happens once every 84 years, and connects the guiding star of humanity, our central sun, with the transformational planet Uranus. This helps us connect to higher frequencies, break down old patterns, and make quantum leaps in consciousness.

10 July: Full Buck Moon in Capricorn 08.36 GMT /UT

This full moon is positively aspected to Mars. It is a time to reflect on what you have learned about your own emotional life, contemplate the structures in your life, and the action you need to take to move forwards.

12 July: Saturn retrograde in Aries

Saturn retrograde is not the best time to begin new things, but rather take stock of where you are at with existing projects and ventures, and look at what you can do to make sure the structures are sound. This can relate to finances, logistics, organisations, and the practical reality of things.

17 July: Mercury retrograde in Leo until 10 August

This is a good time to cast a retrospective glance at certain areas of your life, shown by the house Mercury is moving through in your natal chart. This phase is notorious for misunderstandings, miscommunications and delays, which in Leo could have a few egos involved and tempers flaring. Remember to practise calm, detachment, and heart-centred authenticity.

20 July: Moon – Uranus – Alcyone conjunction

The Moon is connecting to the Uranus Alcyone conjunction, bringing it down to a personal everyday level. It may be interesting to notice how you feel at this time, and journal your insights.

Venus as the Pisces Goddess of compassion descends to the Heart Chakra Gate, on her journey of the Descent of Inanna. This is a day for letting go of armouring around the heart, releasing blocks to vulnerability, and lightening the emotional load.

22 July: Sun enters Leo

We enter the season of the charismatic lion, with the qualities of sovereignty, creativity, dignity, flair, regality, playfulness, heart-centred authenticity, and strength of will. Let your natural creativity and individuality shine.

24 July: New Moon in Leo 19.11 GMT /UT

The beginning of a new lunar cycle in the sign of Leo. This is a good time to start a new creative project, vow to be more authentic, and allow your inner child to play. The new moon is opposite Pluto which brings out obstacles to creativity and shining your light. Shadow work is beneficial and yields powerful results.

24 July: Sun Pluto opposition

When the Sun, illumination, opposes Pluto, Lord of the underworld, shadows are revealed and come to meet you head on. When you shift your focus to the internal, rather than external world, you will reclaim your power. Try not to be disheartened by outer events or challenging people. They are showing you what you need to heal within yourself.

25 July: the Mayan Day out of Time

26 July: Lions Gate portal opens

We enter the time of Sirius rising before the Sun. Its rising time varies in different latitudes. This brings an influx of light and new, fresh energy so we can be renewed on a cellular level, and receive upgrades to the lightbody.

July is a month of powerful illumination and quantum leaps, if you are ready to do the work and shift. With all the retrogrades, it is time to deeply reflect and look within for the answers you seek. If you would like to book a private mentoring session with me, I offer personal Astrological consultations over zoom, Spiritual Mentoring sessions, and distance Sekhem Healing /Akashic Readings.
