The Full Moon in Capricorn marks a turning point in the year, bringing a reality check to proceedings, with the energy to power things forward and come into greater alignment with yourself, through balancing the scales of karma.

This full moon comes midway through the Sun’s transit of Cancer. During this month of cardinal water, the emotional life predominates, and it is an ideal time for emotional healing, relationship healing, and spending time with loved ones. The focus is on feelings, changing moods, psychic perception and dreams.

The full moon in the opposite sign of Capricorn brings you back down to earth, and asks, is everything grounded and stable?  It asks you to look at how far you have come this year, and check if everything is in order. Capricorn is the Master Builder, the last earth sign. Ruled by Saturn, Lord of Karma, it shows results of your actions becoming concrete, paving the road of your life with your thoughts, words and deeds.

Saturn will go retrograde on 12 July, so this full moon is a time to take stock of your current reality, what you have created, and the lessons you are still mastering. This is not a time to take risks, but focus on how you can bring more stability to your life by working in harmony with the material realm and living according to universal laws. All things are connected. There are no shortcuts – everything has a cost and a price. Whether it is time, energy, love, peace of mind, sanity – you choose where to invest your energy and your precious life force.

You may reflect on what you have invested in, and whether you are satisfied with the results – Saturn shows you that you reap what you sow. If you have put energy into something in good faith, and it turned out to be not what you expected, all the energy you put in will come back to you in other forms. If you feel you have invested your energy in the wrong place, this is simply a lesson in discernment. Life is a series of experiences in soul learning. On the other hand, if one has deceived or exploited others, they will enter into a prison of their own making. The nature of life is to give and share. Taking and self-serving is an unsustainable energy that will inevitably implode.

The full moon is positively aspected to Mars, which indicates forwards movement. Mars in Virgo is sextiling the Sun and trining the Moon. These are flowing, beneficial aspects bringing flexible movement once you have looked back at the past, contemplated your life path and where you want to go next. To accelerate forwards and power through karma, the best way is to acknowledge the truth within you. If you feel you could have done better in a certain situation, to clear it, you have to realise it for yourself, and if necessary take the steps to make amends. Your own mind can hold onto negative karma, but once you release the situation and make peace with it, you release yourself from the karma.

Saturn, the ruler of the full moon, is conjunct Neptune in Aries. The planet of discipline and responsibility is moving together with the planet of higher energies, at the beginning of a brand new cycle. This is an opportunity for us to fine tune our actions with our higher guidance, and power forwards in full soul alignment.

Saturn is moving in an ongoing square with Jupiter, which generates a collective energy of forward movement and restraint, like accelerating with the brakes on. This means that we have to take great care where we focus our energy, and use great power and discernment, channelling the life force into a specific area. In this way, our available energy can become like the electric lightning of Thor, restricted and contained within his belt of power, so the energy is highly focused in one area and not scattered.

This full moon is a lunation of great power, holding within in it the keys to greater responsibility, and more scope to build and create the dreams you hold in your heart. This happens through accountability, balancing the scales of karma, and continuing to strive to do your best, in all integrity, truthfulness, and service to the light.
