Uranus, the Great Awakener, has just entered Gemini for the first time since 1949. It will transit this sign until 2033, with a final blast in Taurus between November 2025 – April 2026. Uranus’ transit of Gemini will bring about a communication revolution. Many exciting, surprising and unpredictable events will occur in the realm of information, and the ways we receive and communicate our ideas.

Uranus is the rebel of consciousness. Saturn is the furthest planet that is visible with the naked eye, and it was known as the seventh planet, bringing boundaries, structure and form. It was the traditional ruler of both Capricorn and Aquarius. The discovery of Uranus in 1781 shocked scientists. This planet had a wildcard energy that disrupted the orderly boundaries of Saturn. It was previously unknown, unpredictable, and orbited in a completely different way - horizontally, and erratically.

Uranus helps us to break down barriers and structures of the material world that no longer serve. It generates transformation through the fast-moving energy of change. Esoterically, Uranus relates to the sacral chakra and the energy of creativity. It helps to build the higher bodies so that the soul can be fully accessed.

Uranus has been moving through Taurus since 2018, bringing its lightning frequencies to the sign of fixed earth. This has caused much disruption, as its fast-moving, transformational energy translates itself into the dense physical realms. We have seen many earth changes, political and regime changes; and challenges to the fixity of the structures of our society.

As Uranus enters the mutable air of Gemini, we will feel a collective shift. Like lightning moving through the air, we will see genius inspirations and divine revelations being received by many. As Uranus stands at 0° Gemini, it is directly conjunct Alcyone, the brightest star in the Pleiades. This is a very important star for humanity, and our solar system orbits around it as our central sun. This means that the enlightening frequencies from Alcyone can flow directly through the alignment with Uranus, into the collective sphere.

Gemini, mutable air, is a sign of movement and change. Like the air circulates, it circulates and distributes information. This is why it rules social media, media, communication, thoughts and ideas. Ruled by Mercury, the planet of mind, the closest planet to the sun, it relates to how we receive, process and share ideas. With Uranus here, rebellious thinkers, revolutionaries and genius thought influencers will come to the fore. Rules will be broken, radical ideas will create sweeping changes, and minds will be set ablaze with out-of-the-box information. Gemini is the principle of connection, and many diverse ideas will be connected.

The constellation of Gemini, the twins, is made up of twin stars, Castor and Pollux. Traditionally known as the dark and the light twin, they represent the intrinsic duality of mind, and the polarity of our world. Hence Geminis are sometimes said to have a split personality – they are simply embodying the duality we all experience. Control of the higher mind takes a certain level of mastery. Facing the shadows, subconscious fears and blocks, and gaining mastery over your own mind is one of the tests of Gemini.

Esoterically, the twins of Gemini represent the Soul and the personality. At first, the lower self dominates. Then a phase of struggle is entered into, once the light of the soul makes itself known. Ultimately the battle is won, and the soul becomes the guiding force, integrating the personality and the lower self into one unified self. With Uranus transiting this sign, revelations from the soul will be more pronounced. With this once in a lifetime alignment with Alcyone, there is great scope for spiritual acceleration and quantum leaps in consciousness.

Gemini is the sign of receiving and sharing information through everyday interactions. With Uranus the Great Awakener moving through this sign, we can expect to see Divine revelations coming down to the everyday world like bolts from the blue, with the ability to translate them so that they can be more easily understood. Truth revelations will hit the mainstream consciousness, moving at lightning speed, and it may become impossible to hoodwink people as the veils fall.
