New Moon in Leo – Point of Power

The New Moon at 2° Leo is a point of power from which to generate bold and authentic new beginnings. Leo is the sign of Divine sovereignty, and we are entering the time of Sirius rising, bringing an influx of light and spiritual awareness. The new moon is in aspect to Pluto, and this means we must dig deep, recognise and liberate our deepest fears, to become fully empowered human beings.

 

As the Sun and Moon come together in Leo, a new cycle is generated in the sign of fixed fire. Inward moving fire is very strong; it rules the heart, and the doorway to the soul. When we generate enough inner fire to truly open the heart, we become stronger than outer events.

 

This is an ideal time to meditate on creative projects you wish to birth, and where you can pour more of your soul fire into your work. Once you find the spark within, you can fan the fire and achieve great things.

 

Coming during Mercury retrograde, this new moon is very introspective and inward moving. Outer communications may go awry, as wires are crossed, or subconscious fears are expressed. The Sun and Moon are directly opposite Pluto, and this brings out the shadow into conscious awareness. You may find demons and irrational fears emerging – these are what need to be healed and released. You may find you wish to exert control over a situation – this lunation is teaching you to give up control. None of us really control anything.

 

The one thing we can control, is our inner fire. This takes practice.

 

The opposition to Pluto may bring obstacles into focus; or create the illusion of obstacles when really the shadow needs to be acknowledged and integrated. Leo is the fire of the heart, and the light of sovereignty. Pluto is everything that opposes this: internally and externally.

 

The new moon is making a sextile to Uranus, which brings opportunities to step into the new. Exciting and electrifying surprises may make themselves known, once you lift your mind up into a higher frequency.

 

The new moon is making a trine aspect to the Saturn Neptune conjunction in Aries. This conjunction can be interpreted on many levels, but it seems to be bringing a certain amount of fear, doubt and confusion. The higher frequencies are about dissolving boundaries and breaking down walls, being spiritually strong, and manifesting your highest ideals. The aspect to the new moon allows these energies to flow, and you may find the keys to manifesting in new ways.

 

So the new moon is receiving aspects from Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn Neptune, which together form a supportive triangle. These four outer planets are in a harmonious configuration, and the new moon is touching on this. We can tap into the soul medicine of these planetary teachers, which is about rebirth and alchemical transmutation, ascension energies, strength, discipline, and compassionate soul guidance.

 

The day after the new moon is the 25th July, the Mayan Day Out of Time. This can feel as though we are moving through a bardo-like state, before the Lions Gate portal opens on 26th July. This is the beginning of the Heliacal rising of Sirius, depending on your latitude. The Great Star Sirius is our spiritual sun, the star of Isis, known as Sothis or Sopdet in Egypt. As it aligns with our sun we connect directly with the lightcodes and higher knowledge of this great star.

 

The deeper you can clear your subconscious blocks and fears on this new moon, the higher you will rise with the beautiful frequencies of Sirius, and Alcyone the star of the Pleiades which is currently aligned with Uranus.

 

This new moon is a point of power to acknowledge, integrate and release the darkness; tap into your soul fire and recharge your energy; and connect with the Divine spark of pure creativity and strength within.
