New Moon in Scorpio – Power Unveiled

The New Moon in Scorpio is always a time of power; however, this new moon is filled with extremely potent aspects which make it more than intense. Prepare for the mysteries to be unveiled, prepare to see into the depths, prepare to know your true nature, and align with the lifeforce within.

 

The new moon at 28° Scorpio comes at the end of Scorpio season. While the Sun traverses this sign, we are given a window into the deeper currents of life, and the possibility to see through the veils and layers of habitual masks to the truth within. You may see the truth of people, and also see that people are multidimensional. They may have a good heart, but may also have negative traits, for example. We are the sum total of all that we are. We navigate the currents of life and make choices based on the truth that we perceive. This is why perception of truth is one of the most valuable skills.

 

We have passed through Samhain on the 31st October, or the 7th November, and connected with our ancestors. We have moved through deep waters, and seen truths being revealed. This new moon is a moment to dive deep into the essence of darkness and light, and even more so as it is a micro moon, coinciding with the Moon’s apogee, or furthest point from the earth. This is why the new moon is conjunct Black Moon Lilith, the Moon’s apogee. Black Moon Lilith is most at home in the sign of Scorpio, representing as she does all that is hidden and supressed in the psyche, all the inherent sexual energy, mystical truths and depth probe intuitive abilities; all the power of being at home with your nature and integrating the darkness and light. If there is something you have been denying or supressing, it may make itself known at this time.

 

The Sun and Moon are conjunct Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, which heightens the ability to see into the mysteries, and to perceive the truth of situations. You may look back over past events and realise things in hindsight. If you want to know the truth about people, ask now. If you want answers to any problem or issue, ask your guidance now. Mercury in Scorpio pierces deep into the heart of reality like the mystical eye. With this power alignment; meditation, visioning and divination are favoured.

 

The new moon is also making trines to Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces, feeding into the long-term Jupiter Saturn trine, and creating a Grand Water Trine which gives heightened access to the element of water: faith, trust, intuition, emotion, telepathy, empathy and clairsentience. The grand trine increases the power of the new moon in Scorpio, bringing balanced emotional energy and enhanced intuition. Jupiter in Cancer brings big feelings; Saturn in Pisces brings the ability to master excessive emotionality such as neediness, victimhood, martyrdom and gullibility. This is a time to achieve a balanced emotional state, and tap into the superpower of your intuition.

 

The new moon is opposite Uranus retrograde at 29° Taurus. This brings the element of surprise and unpredictability, with potential shocking revelations, out of the blue communications, and shifting outcomes. Nothing is certain; we exist in a fluid reality, and we must learn to dance through ever-changing landscapes, maintaining our internal balance. Shifts and changes may end up being for the better.

 

So we have the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Black Moon Lilith all conjunct in Scorpio. Venus is also in Scorpio, and on her journey of the Descent of Inanna, she has just arrived at the Earth Star Gate, or Death by Intent. This is her Shaman’s Death, where she reaches the underworld, and her sister Ereshkeigal kills her and hangs her on a spike. For Inanna, she is stripped bare of all clothing, jewels, and ultimately, her life. The question is, what remains?

 

What remains when you are stripped of everything that you identified with, everything you called your own? What remains when there are no familiar landmarks, no possessions, no-one to trust, and no friends to be seen?

 

In the case of Inanna, Venus Queen of Heaven, her Divine father sends helpers into the underworld. She is revived and brought back to life, and ascends once more to her rightful place among the stars.

 

So too, you will not be forsaken, when you reach such a point in your life. The Great Life will lift you up and carry you home. Your soul essence will remain intact.

 

This phenomenal new moon cuts deep, right to the truth of soul.

 

Wherever you find yourself, celebrate yourself there. Know you are blessed by Divine grace. The truths you are shown are the truths you need to see. Give thanks, and know that healing only comes when the poison is cut out. Nothing can touch your core.
