Full Moon in Libra – Sacred Balance & Peace

The Full Moon at 12° Libra brings a much-needed sense of balance and calm amidst all the fast-moving Aries energy. The full moon is a time of reflection, and on the Libra moon, we reflect on cultivating inner peace no matter what storms may come.

Aries Libra is the axis of self and other, war and peace, impulse and reason, fire and air. With all the planets gathering in Aries right now, in this 1 year of the Fire Horse, you may be thinking of starting new things, actioning dreams from the past, igniting a new version of you, and blazing new trails.

The Libra moon brings pause to reflect, and find a place of mental balance and stability. Libra is the sign of logic and reason. A masculine sign ruled by Venus, the sign of partnership, relationship and marriage, Libra has a unique ability to balance masculine and feminine poles, unite opposing forces, mediate, and bring peace and stability.

Cardinal air is a thought leader, and these thoughts are powerful when they stem from a place of internal balance and peace.

The scales of Justice are related to balance, fairness and equality. Where there is justice, there is peace. Where there is fairness, resources are distributed equally, and people enjoy equal treatment, there is a greater possibility of harmony. This is how it should be - the Divine Order of existence.

Where there is no equality, and no justice, there is no peace. There is a restless raging within, which is the Aries urge for conflict and war, to redress the scales of balance. The injustice we see in the world gives rise to division and conflict. The seeds of discord are sown, to generate further separation consciousness.

Nature is out of balance, after suffering from misaligned human practices. We are feeling this sense of imbalance more keenly as the number of satellites in the sky has drastically increased in recent years. Disharmonious frequencies affect all of us, and create changes in the astral plane.

Like a gyroscope that never loses its centre, we must practice maintaining internal balance and peace no matter what destabilising forces are present in our environment.

The Sun and Moon are both squaring Jupiter (T-square). As the Aries Sun opposes the Libra Moon, and we attempt to balance our personal needs and desires with those of others; the key to working with this opposition is Jupiter in Cancer. The sign of Cancer is all about home and family, emotional security, sensitivity and dreams.

Pay attention to any dreams you have around the full moon. Jupiter magnifies the lucid dreaming qualities of Cancer, and this is being triggered by the full moon. If you are in a conflict or indecision, your dreams and visions will guide you.

There is a tendency with this energy for over-indulgence, recklessness or excess. You may feel like being overly optimistic, or throwing caution to the wind and taking risks. It is better to reflect and weigh up all outcomes before making life-changing decisions.

This full moon is a time to practise emotional detachment, and calm, not allowing anything to sway you, as you find your inner solid core of peace. Think of this as a crystalline core within you.

Beauty is blossoming all around, in springtime in the Northern hemisphere. The beauty of new life wants to bloom in your heart, in your cells, and it needs space to grow. As you reflect on the Libra moon, and connect to that place of peace and the timeless beauty of spirit, allow yourself to be renewed.

As Ma’at holds the balance between light and dark during the battle of Horus and Set, so too may we uphold the Ma’at in our lives, as we become part of a larger group of souls living from inner strength and peace.
