Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo - Stand on Solid Ground

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo opposes an array of planets in Pisces. There is a huge amount of emotional energy swirling around in the astral. Pisces rules the victim - sacrifice - saviour mentality, and on a deeper level death and surrender. The Virgo moon should bring stability and groundedness to all the watery energy; however, the moon is being eclipsed.

We currently have five planets in Pisces: Mars, North Node, Sun, Mercury retrograde, and Venus. Mars, planet of active will and male energy, has just entered Pisces, where he tends to feel lost and directionless. Does the active male energy just drift with the currents, or does it decide to summon up all its courage and swim for shore? This is the collective challenge the masculine is facing right now.

Mercury, planet of mind, is retrograde in Pisces, so communications are vague and confusing, with misunderstandings and past emotions likely to obscure the issue at hand. The Moon is opposite the Sun and Mercury, so this is a time of deep reflection and possible inner confusion, with not much action being taken.

The full moon is conjunct the South Node in Virgo, and opposite the North Node. A lunar eclipse conjunct the South Node is very much about clearing past karmas, and deep rooted shadow traits. The shadow of Virgo is about being so focused on details that you can’t see the wood for the trees; a prisoner of the intellectual mind with no connection to soul; allowing precision to destroy humanity; being overly perfectionist; and succumbing to the illusion of separation. These traits are arising in the collective to be cleared.

The Sun has just moved over the North Node and Mars is moving to meet it. We are being challenged to step into the arena of intuition and soul, and use this as a tool in our daily lives. North Node in Pisces asks us to surrender, and move forwards with our soul work, committing to the path of service. It asks us to feel compassion for all, and be sensitive to the plight of others while maintaining a dispassionate inner core of strength. The North Node here amongst all the personal planets calls us to let go of over-emotionality, victimhood, martyrdom, lack of direction; and step into the strength of Pisces which is soul-led fluidity and responsive compassion.

The Virgo moon balances all this water energy with focused, grounded, precision based thinking. However, when it moves through the total eclipse, the ground will be shaken and it will cause some disruption in the area of life indicated in your natal chart. This area of life may see some turbulence, with new beginnings around the corner. What you thought was stable may need to change. Lunar eclipses usually involve relationships and emotions.

This eclipse completes the eclipse window that began with the solar eclipse on 17 February. Whatever issues have been arising for you are moving towards a point of completion. The important thing is to find that place of stability within you, no matter what is happening around you.

This is a time of deep soul searching, releasing fear, doubt and confusion, and stepping forward into soul-led guidance and a precise course of action. The more you can release the seeds of past karma, let go of the emotional pull of situations, and strive to maintain balance based on precise guidance and freedom from fear, the more you will be able to navigate tricky situations with ease and grace.

Remember, all is a soul test. You can only do the best that you can do. A trine and sextile to Jupiter brings a benevolent energy that is ready to assist you, when you surrender to spirit and decide to live with integrity and conviction.
