The Full Moon in Cancer illuminates the emotional realms, encouraging dreams, sensitivity and feeling. Indeed this Moon is reborn like the scarab out of destruction and death. From out of nothing, new life emerges. This is regeneration.
The Moon is opposite Pluto, which is conjunct the Sun in Capricorn. Serious issues are weighing on people, and primal fears are coming to light. As the Sun illuminates this degree of Capricorn, where Pluto has arrived after thirteen years of breaking down and demolishing the world as we know it, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the precarious state of our planet.
Cancer and Capricorn both start life in the ocean. Cancer the crab lives in the water and on land, its soft body enclosed in a protective shell. Cancer represents the first incarnation, of consciousness descending into a human body. In the Denderah Zodiac, all of the signs are depicted in the wheel, and Cancer is at the very centre. Out of alignment with the other figures, as if everything originates here. Except that it is not shown as a crab, but as a Scarab. All life emerges from the Scarab, which creates life out of nothing.
Capricorn also emerges from the ocean, as a Seagoat. However, its sights are firmly fixed on the mountaintop. This represents the furthest reaches of consciousness and its explorations into matter. From this point, encased in the physical, the Soul longs to return to God. This is the point we have reached now, on this planet, where this is the only way forward. There is nowhere else to go. We cannot continue exploring matter, biology and technology without the connection to Godsource. It is a dead end. It only leads to destruction, as shown by the Tarot card, the Devil.
Cancer and Capricorn are gateways in and out of life. This lunation is very potent, propelled by the intense Capricornian energies at play, and the deeply regenerative, transformative power of Pluto. The Moon in the opposite sign of Cancer opposes all this heavy energy, arising like new life being born, a pristine body emerging from the ashes, demonstrating that life always regenerates itself.
Regardless of what is going on around you, take this time to reflect on the wonder of life. Be present in your sensitive, feeling heart. Give thanks for your body, the Chariot of your soul. Honour your feelings, whatever may arise: grief, sadness, overwhelm, frustration, fear. Pay attention to the shadows and liberate them lovingly. Life continues on.
The full moon in Cancer is urging you to birth new life. If you can dream it, you can bring it forth. Life needs you to be true to the impulses of your soul. What else is there to do? When we start living from the inside out, then we will see real change.
Life will find a way
Full Moon Blessings
