Full Harvest Moon in Aries – Return to the Flame

This big, beautiful moon in the first sign of primordial fire invites you to clean the slate and begin afresh. The chart of the full moon has many complex and emotional patterns asking to be unlocked like a cosmic puzzle. During the full moon window, you have the opportunity to reconnect to your passion, and the divine spark within that makes everything new.

 

This full moon activates the Aries – Libra axis, which is about war and peace, self and other, individual will and the ability to mediate. We need a balance of both in our lives. The original spark of Aries is the desire nature that creates from the fire of spirit, through sheer passion and complete absence of doubt. When the consciousness arrives at Libra, the seventh sign, awareness of others emerges. Relationships of all kinds, partnerships, marriage; the weighing of opposing ideas on the scales of balance; meditation, fairness, justice, are all qualities of this sign. When the Aries moon opposes the Sun in Libra, you may like to ask yourself:

 

Do you consider others enough? Could you be less selfish?

 

Are you a people pleaser? Do you consider your own needs enough?

 

Are you able to ask for what you want in relationships?

 

Do you assert your boundaries peacefully, with self- love?

 

What do you need to come back into balance, and find a healthy balance in your life?

 

The full moon is in a wide square to Jupiter in Cancer, bringing heightened emotions into focus. This is big cardinal energy, and there may be drama. Feelings desire to be acknowledged. The Aries moon is ruled by Mars, god of war; however, Jupiter in Cancer wants to be soft, loving, tender, and most of all it wants to feel secure. We are being asked what is really important in our lives – the people, places, and relationships that we really value and cherish. When we recognise that love, it can overcome any challenges or disagreements, as love is the essence of these relationships. At the end of the day, love is the truth and the reason we do what we do.

 

Mars, the ruler of the full moon is in Scorpio. Mercury has just entered Scorpio, and is coming into an exact square with Pluto. Behind the Aries fire is the depth of Scorpio, ruler of the shadows. To truly align with your passion and simplicity, your innate divinity, and begin afresh, you are being asked to take an honest look at your shadow. Mercury square Pluto is the precision detective and depth psychologist, which can see with searing directness into the truth of things. Once you truly see something, you are free to release it and let it go, shedding your skins like the snake, as we approach the end of this 9 year of completion.

 

Black Moon Lilith, also in Scorpio, says now is the time. Become the beautiful brilliance that you are, and embrace the Dark Goddess.

 

Jupiter is moving into opposition with Pluto, and we are being called to claim our power and sovereignty, embrace our soul wisdom, and find the inner determination to succeed no matter what.

 

There is also an abundance of Piscean energy, with the North Node and Saturn here, and Neptune about to retrograde back into this sign. This is a test of your boundaries, and where you have learned to be strong. Be mindful not to fall back into old patterns. Tests may arrive in the form of temptations, or things not quite being what they seem. The North Node here is calling the collective to embrace the strengths of this sign, connecting to soul guidance, compassion, sensitivity, imagination, fluidity and magic. You are being tested to see whether you will slip in to victimhood, blame, martyrdom, or addictive patterns of behaviour.

 

With all these strong emotional tests arising from Scorpio Pisces placements, and Jupiter magnifying the qualities of Cancer, the different streams of reality you are navigating may seem overwhelming and confusing. The Aries moon reminds you to come back to your heart, the pulse of your heartbeat and the fire behind it. Within you is a Divine spark.
